Midnight Contemporary is an evening of new work from the Stagevoo company, performed in the round under a single moving light.

Four short pieces, each under fifteen minutes, explore what happens to a body at the edge of the day — exhaustion, restlessness, and the strange energy that arrives after midnight. The audience sits on all four sides of the floor, close enough to hear the dancers breathe.

The programme runs without an interval so the atmosphere is never broken. Afterwards the choreographers stay for an open conversation with anyone curious about how the pieces were made.
