Urban Heat is the loudest room in the building and the least intimidating. It is built around groove — the bounce
Most people arrive at hip hop trying to copy a video. We spend the first three weeks undoing that. Before you learn a single choreographed eight-count you learn how to stand, how to bounce, and how to let a beat move your ribcage rather than your arms.
From week four the choreography starts, and it does not stop. You will learn four full routines across the twelve weeks — one per style block — and film all four so you can watch yourself get better instead of taking our word for it.
The last two weeks are showcase build. Everyone in the batch performs at the end-of-term showcase. Not optional, and every single person who has tried to opt out has thanked us afterwards.
